What can you do with a Bumpers degree?
If you're interested in a meaningful career working toward advancements in food, family, and the environment, then Bumpers College is the place for you. We offer 13 majors and 22 minors to customize a degree path that leads to an innovative career in science, business, agriculture, community development and more.
A recent USDA study reports by 2020 the number of positions in agriculture and life sciences will vastly outnumber graduates in these fields, and these career opportunities are largely STEM-based (see graph). See our list of majors or contact us to determine where you can go with a degree from Bumpers College.
Spring Commencement for students planning to walk in the Bumpers College ceremony will be held May 12, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. in Bud Walton Arena.
Graduates must arrive no later than 2:45 p.m. to get lined up.
Please see our Commencement page for more information regarding regalia, parking, name cards, guests and more.
Let Us Farm
The U of A freight farm is located right in the Bumpers College backyard. This container, nestled behind the AFLS building, doubles as a lesson in sustainability and a source of fresh, local produce for the campus community. The two students managing this freight (one of whom is a double major in Agricultural Business and Human Nutrition and Hospitality Innovation) have harvested more than 12,700 heads of lettuce while learning about the functionality of hydroponic farming methods.
