Why did you choose your major?
Ever since I was in middle school, I knew I wanted to go into Apparel! It definitely felt like the most natural option when officially deciding on a major.
What are you hoping to do with your major?
I am interested on the business side of fashion. My dream job would either a Buyer for a department store or in Product Development!
How do you stay involved with your department?
American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) is a national association which has a chapter here through the AMPD program. There are meetings every month which talk about different aspects of the apparel industry and often include guest speakers.
What is your favorite class?
My favorite class is Computer Based Methods. In this course, we focus on Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and learn numerous different skills in each. My favorite part about this class is how hands on and project based it is.
How are you an engaged U of A student outside of the classroom?
Outside of the Apparel Program, I am the Vice President of Chapter Development within my sorority. I also am an intern at RiffRaff HQ here in Fayetteville!
What is your favorite thing about Bumpers College?
My favorite thing about Bumpers College is how small and tight knit it is! The professors really want what is best for you and want to see you succeed.
Why did you want to be an ambassador?
I wanted to be an ambassador to make the Apparel Merchandising and Product Development more known in the Bumpers College! I also wanted to be an ambassador to be able to talk to and answer questions incoming freshman may have.
What is your advice for incoming freshman?
My advice is to get involved in as much as you can at first! This college has so many different things to offer, so try them out and see where the best fit is for you!
