Why did you choose your major?

I chose AMPD because of my interest in fashion and the fact that I have more opportunities to work alongside my professors as well as get to know them at a more personal level. Aside from that, the fashion and art community in NWA is growing at a quick pace and knew I had to jump on before it’s too late.

What are you hoping to do with it?

I want to do more photography with this. I’m getting to meet people from all over the place and showcasing my work to them. That has given me the idea to stick with my hobby that I’ve been doing since I was kid helping my dad out and transforming into a career within the community I’m most involved in.

How do you stay involved with your department?

I stay active by actively looking for faculty and students needing assistance with photos or help getting people to the right person. Whether it be through work, my RSOs or class.

What is your favorite class and/or professor?

I really enjoy my graphic design class because it allows me to explore more of what I’m interested in as well as creating things I’ve only pictures in my head. My favorite professor is Dr. Lance Cheramie who I look up to and see as a mentor.

How are you an engaged U of A student outside of the classroom?

I like to stay engaged by working with other students and their projects.

What is your favorite thing about Bumpers College?

On of my favorite things about Bumpers college is the fact that you have an easier access to your professors, and it all feels more like a family rather just another student.

Why did you want to be an ambassador?

One of the reasons I wanted to be an ambassador was to help other students find what they want in life just as previous students and faculty did for me while I still wandering around not knowing what I wanted to do.

What is your advice for an incoming freshman?

If there was one thing I could give them as advice it would be to never be afraid to ask questions. You never know what it may lead to or become. I used to think that my professors found me annoying for all the things I would ask in class but after asking them about it they said the same thing I just did.
