Careers that Matter

Careers-- that's what we're all about. When you graduate from the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, you can advance to employment, graduate school or professional school across a wide breadth of disciplines. No matter where you want to go, a degree from the Bumpers College can take you there.  Career opportunities with a degree from the Bumpers College are  all around you. Our graduates go on to pursue careers across the world in business, education, medicine, genetics, research and much more. A recent report from the USDA predicts that the number of jobs in agriculture and life sciences fields available annually will vastly outnumber the amount of graduates in these fields.

USDA Career Outcomes Pie ChartIt's predicted that between 2015 and 2020, there will be 57,900 average annual openings and only 35,400 graduates to fill those positions. These careers are largely business and STEM based-- in fact, only 15 percent of these jobs are in production agriculture.

What does this all mean? It means the career opportunities are plentiful for our graduates and these companies are actively looking to fill these positions with skilled graduates each year.
