Steve A. Halbrook, formerly vice president of Farm Foundation in Oak Brook, Ill., assumed his duties July 28 as professor and head of the department of agricultural economics and agribusiness.

Professor Andy Proctor, FDSC, received the 2008 Outstanding Mentor Award from the Office of Postgraduate Fellowships at the U of A.
