Habitat Project Selected for USGBC Study The Huntsville Road Habitat for Humanity project in Fayetteville designed by the UA Community Design Center and the Ecological Engineering Group, which includes BAEG faculty members, and Habitat for Humanity of Washington County was selected for a special focus group study by the U.S. Green Building Council. The design is for a neighborhood of 60 homes that will offer an integrated model that embeds ecological metrics into planning templates, land-use policy, and green infrastructure design that will be certified by the USGBC's new Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Neighborhood Development rating system. The local Habitat project is one of six in the southeast out of the 60 receiving such designation nationwide.
