Food and Beverage Competition offers cash prizes for students All University of Arkansas students are invited to compete for $3,000 in cash prizes in a Food and Beverage Innovations Competition sponsored by the Department of Food Science and the Ozark Food Processors Association. The entry deadline is January 31. Details are online at www.foodscience.uark.edu. Faculty Impact Statements due The 2005 Faculty Impact Statements are due to Agricultural Communication Services by email (agcomm@uark.edu) by January 12, 2006. The Faculty Impact Statements published for 2004 and guidelines for preparing new and revised statements are online at http://www.uark.edu/depts/agripub/Publications/Impact/ . The Faculty Impact Statements are used by the Agricultural Experiment Station and the College in preparing reports to the USDA and the University on the research and teaching accomplishments of our faculty. Additionally, the Impact Statements are also used in the annual reports published by the Division of Agriculture and the College, for press releases and for other promotional literature. Faculty are asked to submit impact statements to department heads, who will forward them as a group from each department. |
