newsletter for faculty, staff and students May-June 2005 Vol. 31, No. 3 Graduate Students Conduct Plant Clinic at Farmers’ Market The Plant Pathology Graduate Students Association is conducting a plant disease clinic at the Farmers’ Market on the Fayetteville square on the first and third Saturdays of the month through the summer and early fall growing season. Dr. Craig Rothrock, professor of plant pathology, said gardeners and homeowners are invited to bring samples of sick plants or to just describe a problem. Dr. Steve Vann, director of the Cooperative Extension Service Plant Disease Clinic at Lonoke, will show samples of common plant and lawn diseases and discuss prevention and treatment options. Reference books and handouts on lawn care and gardening will be provided.
