Knight named Bumpers College development director

Kellie Knight

Kellie Knight, who had been assistant director of development in the College of Engineering since October 2002, was recently named the director of development for Bumpers College. Knight worked as a scholarship and endowment officer for the College of Engineering prior to beginning her career in fund raising.

Mark Power, former Bumpers College development director, was named executive director of University Development. Commenting on Knight's appointment, Power said, "With her background in fund raising, particularly here at the U of A, she will be a definite asset to the Bumpers College fund-raising program and to the overall mission of the university."

Knight has spent a large part of her career working with volunteers and students including time spent overseeing the 4-H program in Houston, Mo., and serving as financial aid director at Metro Business College in Rolla, Mo. She holds a bachelor of science degree in agricultural communications from the University of Illinois.
