Food Science team wins College Bowl regional

| The UA Food Science College Bowl Team won the South Central Regional competition and advanced to the national competition at the IFT convention in June. |

The Food Science Department’s College Bowl Team won first place in regional competition over other South Central Regional teams from Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State University and Louisiana State University.
The contest is sponsored by the Institute of Food Technologists.
As regional champions, the UA team composed of Vishal Jain, Brittany Adams, Ken Over, Daniel Weber, Arvind Kannan and Michael Kaminski will compete for the national title against five other IFT regional champions at the national IFT convention at Orlando in June.
