newsletter for faculty, staff and students March-April 2005 Vol. 31, No. 2 Undergraduate research and travel grants awarded Bumpers College students have been awarded undergraduate research grants from Bumpers College, the Honors College and the State Undergraduate Research Fellowship program (SURF). The Honors College also awarded Study Abroad grants in addition to the research grants. SURF grants were awarded to Brett Helms and Scott Walnofer, both in Food Science. Honors College Research Grants were awarded to Brittany Adams, Food Science; Melanie Dougal, Apparel Studies; Dawn Elkins and Nadine Obal, both Animal Science. Honors College Study Abroad Grants were awarded to Brittany Adams and Blanca Gonzalez, Food Science; Carmen Albright and Laura Sossamon, Agribusiness; Stacy Cornforth and DeAnna Mitchell, Animal Science; Tricia Quinn, Interior Design; Ashley Rashé and Gilia Thomas, Environmental, Soil, and Water Science; and Jennifer Stabach, Apparel Studies. Bumpers College Undergraduate Research Grants were awarded to Melanie Doyal and Eva Sutton, Human Environmental Sciences; Brittany Adams, Suzanne Elser, Scott Walnofer and Blanca Gonzalez, Food Science; Maria Barrenechea, Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences; Dawn Elkins, Nadine Obal and Amber Phillips, Animal Science; Carmen Albright and Juan Monge, Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness; Kim Dennis, Horticulture; and Ashley Swaffar, Poultry Science.
