Kirby and Takigiku receive Student Alumni Board awards

John Kirby, Poultry Science, and Susan Takigiku, Human Environmental Science, received Outstanding Faculty awards at the Sixth Annual Faculty Appreciation Banquet Feb. 17 sponsored by the Student Alumni Board, Associated Student Government.

The winners were nominated by students for the awards.

Dr. Kirby teaches and conducts research in avian reproductive physiology and is director of the campus Cell and Molecular Biology Program and the campus DNA Sequencing and Gene Expression Laboratory.

Dr. Takigiku is a Certified Family Life Educator. Her teaching and research are in family and relationship dynamics.
