Faculty members attend teaching camp

Bumpers College faculty members participated in the annual University of Arkansas teaching camp, July 15-18, at the U of A System's Winthrop Rockefeller Center on Petit Jean Mountain. 

Faculty participants included David Longer, CSES, senior co-director of the Teaching Faculty Support Center; Tim Killian, HESC; Cindy Moore, HESC; Mary Savin, CSES; Susan Takigiku, HESC; and Cat Wallack, HESC.

The theme of this year’s camp was “Being Well, Teaching Well.”  Faculty presentations at teaching camp included:  “Effective Lecturing,” by Tim Killian and Ignatious Fosu. JOUR; “Using Hyper-Interactive Teaching Technology,” by Susan Takigiku; “Assessment Techniques,” by Mary Savin and David Gay, ECON, and “Learning with Social Styles,” by Cat Wallack and Yvette Murphy, SCSW.
