ADA names Foote 'Outstanding Dietetics Educator'

Jerry Foote won the “Outstanding Dietetics Educator of the Year” award presented by the Arkansas Dietetic Association and will represent the State of Arkansas in competition  for the national award from the American Dietetic Association.

Foote teaches popular courses in nutrition for sports and exercise, among others. His research focus is the safety and efficacy of dietary supplements. He is director of nutrition for the Fayetteville Public Schools Wellness Project, and he has worked with the Fayetteville Fire Department and others on occupational nutrition issues.
