Vision Credits
Vision is published six times a year by the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station in the U of A System's Division of Agriculture and by the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences. College and Campus Host 4-H O-Rama
Bumpers College and the entire University campus welcomed 4-H members from throughout Arkansas for the 60th annual O-Rama, in which 4-Hers perform in competitive events that cover a wide range of topics July 26-28.
State 4-H officers and ambassadors were elected during the O-Rama.
On-campus included technology showcase, entomology collection and talk, veterinary science and pet care, singing, dancing, instrumental performance, gun safety, consumer economics, human development, fashion revue, food fair, safety, health, citizenship, public speaking, environmental stewardship, agricultural public speaking, forestry, ornamental horticulture, crop and seed identification, sport fishing, bait casting and fish identification, animal science, horse, and bicycling.
Events held off-campus included livestock judging and skills, dairy judging, automotive, tractor, poultry judging, land judging, photography, food bowl, reporting, consumer judging, parliamentary procedure, career pursuit, turkey barbeque and talk and home furnishings.
Other events included a Bumpers College Leadership Workshop, the 60th Awards of Excellence Banquet at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center in Springdale, recreation at HPER and the Jones Center for Families, and a dance at the Arkansas Union Ballroom.
