Graduate Course for High School Teachers

Teachers from some 100 high schools and Cooperative Extension Service faculty participated in training for FFA Career Development Events that were part of summer graduate courses offered by Bumpers College. Dr. Nolan Arthur offers advice on judging sheep to graduate students, from left, Nikki Taul, Billie Major and Cheryl Godding. Classes were taught by the departments of Agricultural and Extension Education; Crop, Soil and Environmental Sciences; Food Science; Poultry Science; and Horticulture. Arthur, who was co-coordinator of the training with Dr. George Wardlow, said the three-week-long courses could be taken for graduate school credit or in-service training credit.
