AGCS adds digital specialist

Priya Kulkarni joined the Agricultural Communication Services staff as a digital media specialist (project-program specialist) in December. Her primary responsibilities are to assist in developing and managing websites for the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station, Bumpers College and the various units of the Station and College. She will also provide expertise for producing videos and other digital media projects.

 
Priya Kulkarni
 

Ms. Kulkarni received an M.S. degree in electrical engineering with a concentration in software engineering from South Dakota State University in May 2004. She has a B.S. degree in computer engineering from Pune University in India.

As a technical assistant in Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Ms. Kulkarni created and maintained an interactive website for the Arkansas Agricultural Working Group. Other positions have included web-based software developer for TICKETsage in Fayetteville and web design positions at South Dakota State University and Web Communities in Pune, India. As a volunteer in the UA Office of International Students and Scholars, she developed and maintained an interactive website for the International Spouses Group. She created and edited videos for television as an employee of the RAVIRAJ advertising firm in India.

Ms. Kulkarni and her husband, Subodh, a senior graduate assistant in Biological and Agricultural Engineering, have a son, Mukul.
