1. Commencement for Class of 2009 is Saturday
Commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2009 will be be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, in the Randal Tyson Indoor Track Center.
Continuing the Bumpers College custom of recent years, Commencement speakers will be students Brittany Peyrot and Kaci Schack, who received the First Ranked Senior Scholar award. Outstanding Aluma Ginger L. Graham will also give a short address.
A record number of more than 280 bachelor's degree candidates are scheduled to "walk" at Commencement, and the Class of 2009 may be the largest ever, pending review of academic records. The location was moved this year from the Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Center to the Randal Tyson Track Center to better accommodate the larger number of graduates and their family members.
