Accept agenda: Motion by Leslie Edgar; second by Ashley Dowling; the motion passed
Accept minutes: Motion by Ed Gbur; second by Jim Correll; the motion passed
Deans Report: Dr. Robertson explained the rationale for Dr. Brady's visit as it relates to compliance with Act 747. Dr. Brady explained that COMM 1313 emphasizes public speaking. There are several (four to six) presentations per semester. There is one online section. Course sizes range from 18 to 25 seats. Spring semester courses are usually smaller. Dr. Brady responded to committee members' questions about communications courses and the College's communications requirements.
FDSC 2603 Science in the Kitchen: Luke Howard moved that FDSC 2603 be withdrawn from consideration. David Kreider seconded the motion. The motion passed.
ENTO 1023 Insects in Science, the Arts, and Human History: David Kreider moved that the course be removed from the table. Ed Gbur seconded the motion. The motion passed.
David Kreider moved to place ENTO 1023 on the agenda for next meeting. Leslie Edgar seconded the motion. The motion passed. Suggestion was to have the course changes assembled and filed electronically prior to the next meeting.
New Business: BS BE Program Change: The Committee was made aware of changes in the BAEG curriculum.
Announcements: Leslie Edgar informed the committee that AGED 4343: Communications Campaigns has been changed from "senior standing" to "junior or senior standing". Other minor changes within the AGED program were announced.
