ANSC: Program Change
Program proposal to change the requirements under the Physical and Biological Sciences section in the ANSC degree program, such that students may fulfill the CHEM requirement with either CHEM 1074/CHEM 1071L or CHEM 1123/CHEM 1121L, and to allow organic chemistry requirement to be met with either CHEM 2613/CHEM 2611L or CHEM 3603/CHEM 3601L. This will change the range of hours required in Physical and Biological Sciences from 17 hrs to 16 – 17 hrs. The 1 hour difference will fall into general electives for those students that elect CHEM 1123/CHEM 1121L in place of CHEM 1274/CHEM 1071L. Motion to approve the program changes (motion by Anthony, seconded by Correll)
Parsch "courtesy" announcements for minor changes made to AGEC courses for the fall 2010 catalog.
• 1. Change to course description for AGEC 1103 Prin Agric Micro Econ. The following sentence has been added to the course description: "Credit will be allowed only for one of AGEC 1103 and ECON 2023 or ECON 2023H." This keeps students from getting credit for two courses which in essence, cover the same subject matter of microeconomic principles.
• 2. Change to course description for AGEC 2103 Prin Agric Macro Econ. The following sentence has been added to the course description: "Credit will be allowed only for one of AGEC 2103 and ECON 2013 or ECON 2013H." This keeps students from getting credit for two courses which in essence, cover the same subject matter of macroeconomic principles.
• 3. The offering of AGEC 5143 Fin Mgmt in Agric has been changed from "irregular" to fall of every year. The "irregular" listing was a mistake. The course has always been offered in fall.
• 4. Change in prerequisites for AGEC 4313 Agbus Management from AGEC 2303 and AGEC 2143 to AGEC 2303 and AGEC 2142/1L. AGEC 2143 Agbus Fin Records recently changed from a three hour lecture course to a two hour lecture course plus one hour lab.
