Approval of Agenda: Rom moved. Kreider seconded. The motion passed.
Approval of previous minutes: (March 14, 2014): Howard moved. Rom seconded. The motion passed.
Dean's Office Reports: Jody Davis
1. ANSC4482, ANSC 700V, AGEC5613 - all 3 are sitting in approval chain and need to be moved along.
HESC Curriculum Committee Update: Kelly Way
Discussion and provide input on latest online credit hour policy:
Concern was expressed about the policy inhibiting matriculation for students wanting to transfer into UA, and there were questions about how this policy will function in the future for transfer students from the proposed Arkansas online eUniversity.
1. Course Changes
a. AGED3163 Curriculum Development and Assessment Techniques (new course)
The course does not remove an education requirement from the AGED program. We have documentation that Curriculum and Development approves. Howard motioned to pass second reading. Kreider seconded. Motion passed.
b. FDSC2401 Uncorked – Vines to Wines (new course)
There will be no sensory analysis. Kreider motioned to pass second reading. Rom seconded. Motion passed.

1. Course Changes
a. FDSC2503 Food Safety and Sanitation
This course was taught off campus, and now will be on campus. Kreider motioned to pass on first and second reading. Rom seconded. Motion passed.
b. HORT1303 Introduction to Floral Design (previous taught; removed in early 1990's). There is increased demand for this course and an instructor is available. It will be taught every fall. There are student in a couple of majors in particular that should benefit from the course (future ag teachers, HESC majors). Kreider motioned to pass on first and second reading. Motion passed.

3. Substitution requests for Intensive Communication requirement
