Counseling

College is a very unique time in your life.  Some of you are very young and away from home for the first time.  Others of you may be transferring in from a community college or returning to school with the responsibility of a family.  No matter what your reasons for being in college, the lessons you learn and the obstacles you overcome during your college years can provide a wonderful opportunity for emotional growth and maturity.  However, these lessons and obstacles can also result in negative consequences such as overwhelming stress and academic difficulties that affect your performance as a student.

The Academic Enhancement Program is designed to assist you with addressing the difficulties that you may be experiencing and will strive to promote greater overall academic and career success. Several helpful presentations and handouts have been placed on this website to help you help yourself.

If you feel you would like to meet with someone to further explore your personal growth and development, please email jkelly@uark.edu to set up an appointment or call 575-5716.
