Gamma Sigma Delta Competition Next Week
Gamma Sigma Delta will sponsor its 13th annual competition of students' posters and oral presentations on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Arkansas Union. Undergraduates, master's candidates and doctoral candidates will compete in their respective categories.
First, second and third places will be awarded with students receiving respective awards of $100, $75 and $50 in each category for posters or oral presentations. Posters will be available for public viewing from noon to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Union Connections Lounge. Oral presentations will be delivered from 8:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Union (rooms and exact times are still to be determined).
Students may enter by sending their abstracts no later than Feb. 14 to Mary Savin at firstname.lastname@example.org. Abstracts should be saved as Word documents with a maximum of 250 words (not including title and authors/affiliations) in 12-point Times New Roman type.
Friday, Feb. 18, is the deadline for submitting nominations for faculty teaching, research and extension awards. The nomination forms and guidelines may be downloaded at http://gsd.uark.edu/awards.faculty.html.
Gamma Sigma Delta members are also asked to pay their annual chapter dues of $20 to their department representative before Friday, Feb. 18.
