How about a career in business?
Majors and concentrations with Business options include:
Agricultural Business; Apparel Studies (the Fashion Industry); Food, Nutrition and Hospitality;
Food Science; Horticulture, Landscape and Turf Sciences; Interior Design; and Poultry Science.
The most likely major for you is Agricultural Business. Agriculture is 20% of the U.S. economy, and 40% of agricultural jobs are in business. Most Agribusiness grads go on to careers in management, marketing and finance. Others continue their education in graduate school or law school.
Agribusiness concentrations are:
Farm Business Management. For students who are interested in owning or managing a farm business or a business closely related to production agriculture.
Agribusiness Management. For students interested in working in food and agriculture businesses, including firms involved in food processing, commodity merchandising and commodity storage and transportation.
Agribusiness Marketing. For students interested in food and commodity marketing or sales.
Agricultural Economics. For students who plan to enter graduate school to obtain teaching or research position with a university or public agency or pursue a career in agribusiness or economics research and analysis.
Pre-Law/AgLaw Program. For students who wish to go to law school after completing their baccalaureate degree or pursue a career in political advocacy or public policy. The graduate program in Agricultural Law at the University of Arkansas is the only such program in the United States that offers a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in agricultural law.
