Ark River Valley Lawn & Garden Show
HORT majors - full time student who is a US citizen with preference to Sebastian County and Crawford County in Arkansas and Sequoyah County and LeFlore County in Oklahoma; award one semester at a time - must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 to receive the spring award
Ark State Golf Assn
Association makes selection and sends check one semester at a time
Ark State Plant Board Plant Science or related major or minor - Junior - min. 2.8 gpa - demonstrate leadership qualities and dedication to the plant sciences field of study. 2 awards selected from applicants attending UAF, UAPB or UAM. Apply under Separate Applications. Ark Turfgrass Association
HORT - turf majors. This is a restricted account. Selection by DBCAFLS Scholarship Committee using following: 1) enrolled in Bumpers college and excelled scholastically during high school; 2) US citizen, pref AR resident; 3) enrolled FT Turf and Landscape HORT w/ min. GPA 2.75; 4) has expressed turf interest; 5 ) exhibits positive leadership ability, service orientation and character traits. Spring with a 2.75 GPA earning 12 hrs. (FT) during the Fall semester. If recipient fails, can award unused funds using the same selection criteria noted above. Need will only be a factor when two or more applicants are equal/similar.
Bald Knob Ag Science
Prefer HORT majors but all considered; from Bald Knob or at least White County; incoming freshmen must have at least a 23 ACT; current students must have a 3.0 cum GPA or higher; financial need and extra curricular activities to be considered
Bayer Turfgrass
HORT - Turf major with at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA; must be a U.S. citizen; prefer an Arkansas resident

HORT majors - incoming freshmen or nontraditional with transfer students receiving second priority; 3.0 cumulative GPA; renew up to eight semesters with committee approval at initial amount of award

$500-$1,500 for one academic year for horticulture majors. Apply under Separate Applications.

HORT majors interested in fruits and vegetables; Jr or Sr; at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA; show financial need; active in college extra curricular activities

Food Science, Vegetable Horticulture, Nutrition/Dietetics majors (preference to students with interest in pediatric nutrition); all levels - four $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year (a department will get two scholarships every 3rd year)

HORT major - Fr, So, Jr, Sr; prefer female from Oklahoma or somewhere other than Arkansas; show financial need; renewable (preference not to keep scholarship from being awarded)
Horticulture Faculty

HORT graduate students - MS must have had a 3.25 cum GPA on undergraduate studies and PhD students must have had a 3.5 on master studies. An MS student can also receive the PhD fellowship (continued renewable with a 3.25 GPA for MS; 3.5 GPA for PhD)
